What are you going to do:

Provide millions of mail items to pass through the sorting machine properly; you understand how the machine works, pay attention, and you can act quickly. Every day we deliver 8 million pieces of mail at PostNL: letters, cards, magazines and business mail. You can contribute to this at PostNL in Nieuwegein.

What are you going to do?
In the sorting centers, all mail goes through sorting machines. From small to large, in all shapes and weights, up to 30,000 pieces per hour. 

If a malfunction occurs, your job is to resolve it as quickly as possible, either on your own or with assistance from others. You can also contact the technical service. Naturally, you try to prevent malfunctions by carrying out regular preventive maintenance. During your afternoon/evening shift, your focus will be on running the machines, while during the night shift, you will also be coaching a team of operators, in addition to ensuring the machines run smoothly. This is a challenging role in which you and your team will work together to operate and maintain the machines.

Who are you?
You have a strong technical understanding and can quickly grasp how processes work and how machines function. You are solution-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and enjoy working in a team. Experience in logistics is a significant advantage.

You will work in the day, evening and night shifts, 24 hours a week. Working hours are irregular.

What we offer:

• A gross hourly wage of €14.90 starting from 18 years of age;
• A bonus of 20% from 6:00 PM;
• A bonus of 40% from 10 PM;
• A travel allowance starting from 6 kilometers one way;
• A long-term position;
