Fulltime Assistant Procurement Manager at Unilever Amsterdam

What are you going to do:
Unilever in Amsterdam is looking for a fulltime Assistant Procurement Manager who will take responsibility for European Ice Cream Operational activities, to ensure a smooth supply of materials into the co-manufacturers across Europe. In the current challenging times, the Procurement Operations teams in Europe have played a crucial role in continuation of the business.
Main responsibilities include:
- Support the procurement organization to meet goals and objectives in support to the overall Unilever strategy;
- Build a solid network within the company and with the main suppliers of materials;
- Collaborate with procurement manager on troubleshooting in all different aspects of European operations;
- Able to quickly build knowledge on various buying portfolios to take decisions on how to solve problems. Take that extra step to safeguard Unilever’s production;
- Support contingency and resilience activities; identify and follow up on opportunities to add flexibility to the supply chain;
- Coordinate financial claims raised at suppliers and have discussions with loss adjusters;
- To ensure the satisfaction of Unilever's internal customers with the services provided by the procurement organization;
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is motivated, practical, resilient and a real go-getter. You have an innovative mindset which enables to oversee and execute several projects and tasks at the same time. A fast-paced and changing working environment is where you thrive in, and you are communicatively very strong.
The assignment is for (at least) 3 months, and starting date is ASAP.
What we offer:
- A monthly wage between €3700,- and €4500,- per month;
- A fulltime workweek in which hybrid working is possible;
- Starting date = ASAP;
- Travelcost reimbursement;
- Hybrid working (2-3 days in office).
What we ask:
- At least finished hbo e.g. in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or another related field;
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is a must! Experience with PowerBI is a big plus;
- You are organised, a fast learner and you know how to manage several tasks and projects at the same time;
- You have at least 3 years experience in a similar role with i.e. supply risk environments or FMCG;
- Fluent in English.
