Wat ga je doen?

We are YoungOnes! The digital platform that offers a quick and simple way to connect supply and demand for temporary work. Having existed for three years now, we are a scale-up company. However, business is booming and we have international aspirations!! This is why we are looking for a full time employee for our expansion to the UK. The position of business development manager means that you are a true all-rounder and in charge of the successful launch of our platform in the UK. 

What is YoungOnes all about?  

The YoungOnes platform offers an ultimate sense of freedom when it comes to employment. People can decide where, when and for which rates they would like to offer their professional services. Work is executed on a freelance basis, think of for instance, one-day jobs in restaurants, hospitality and logistics. That is why we use the hashtag #ownboss. Young people want to work for us and it is our privilege to help them in their first steps towards becoming independent entrepreneurs. And now we are going for the UK roll-out, ultimately cool!

What is the position all about?
We are going to start building from scratch in the UK. There is however one major difference from when we started in the Netherlands, and that is that we have 3.5 years of experience under our belts. Also, the tools and platform are technically complete. In the position of Business Development Manager UK, you need to be a true all round professional, sales, (online) marketing, customer relations, but you also know how to write catchy material. The most important aspect is that you are a true native English speaker and writer. You also have access to a respectable l network in the UK. The business location is Breda, you will travel back and forth to London. 

What will you be doing? 

  • You will develop contacts with potential clients in the UK
  • You are a word wizard when it comes to communication texts for future users of the UK platform 
  • You will have welcome meetings with interested freelancers and help them to get started
  • You will develop in-depth knowledge of the UK laws regarding freelance work (luckily we have done the groundwork) 
  • You will make sure the FAQ is just as abundantly filled as the Dutch version keeping in mind the UK legislation
  • You will report directly to YoungOnes Management

Wat wij vragen:

  • Minimaal hbo werk- en denkniveau;
  • Speaking and writing at Native English level;
  • At least bachelor or undergraduate intellectual and professional level;
  • At least 2 to 3 years of work experience in a commercial role;
  • An affinity with entrepreneurship;
  • Working in Breda and willing to travel to London when required;
  • Access to a respectable UK network would be an advantage;
  • A dynamic, flexible and modern professional;
  • Someone who is inquisitive, takes initiatives and possesses strong communication skills.
