Senior Maintenance Engineer(MEMS)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 31/07/2025
Location: HTC Eindhoven
As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in the Planning, Scheduling, and Execution of both corrective (including troubleshooting) and preventive maintenance activities. Working within the MEMS Foundry Maintenance Engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the high availability of advanced manufacturing equipment, such as Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), Plasma Enhanced Vapor Deposition (PECVD), Dry Etch (Plasma Etching), High Temperature Processing, Wet Etch, Wafer Bonding, Lithography, and Metrology. These systems are crucial for a variety of cutting-edge applications, from smartphone sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) devices to safety components in automotive electronics and biomedical innovations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain Equipment Performance: You will be responsible for keeping high-tech semiconductor process equipment in optimal condition, working on a broad range of specialized equipment clusters, such as Furnaces (High Temperature, Oxidation, Annealing), ALD & Dry Etching.
Cluster Ownership: Take full ownership of the performance, uptime, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) of assigned cluster systems. Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement systematic monitoring for early detection of maintenance needs. Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) actions, track changes, and communicate with equipment owners.
Documentation & Compliance: Manage maintenance-related documentation, including PM procedures, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Develop equipment disposal protocols where necessary.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in root cause analysis (RCA) for unplanned maintenance events, manage small projects, and design technical specifications for new or modified equipment. You will also oversee technical acceptance tests (IQ, OQ) and develop spare part policies based on risk analysis.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with equipment owners and technicians to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks. Participate in crash teams and Kaizen improvement teams to resolve complex machine or process failures.
Leadership: Coach and mentor junior Maintenance Engineers and Technicians, fostering a safe, high-performance team environment.
