Senior Dry Etching Process Engineer

As an active member of the dry etching engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing dry etching processes to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will work closely with project managers, sales teams, product engineers, other process engineers, and operators/technicians to ensure process efficiency and innovation.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Dry Etching Process Engineer, you will:
Oversee and maintain all dry etching equipment in the clean room, ensuring consistent and reliable performance.
Develop and implement new dry etching processes, often within the context of ongoing projects.
Play a key role in project teams, contributing to technological decision-making throughout various project stages.
Use industry-standard methods and tools to drive engineering activities.
Advise customers on etching process options, identifying opportunities for process improvements within your area of expertise.
Evaluate the potential for reusing existing knowledge versus the need for new developments.
Continuously enhance your technical expertise through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and knowledge institutions.
Participate in cross-functional teams focused on acquiring new equipment, contributing to process design, specifications, and acceptance protocols.
Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers and technicians.
Proactively communicate with clients, senior management, and colleagues to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
Adhere to the company's Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) policies, regulations, and standards.
To excel in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of the exact sciences.
Proven experience in process engineering and development.
Experience leading or working with project teams in a technical environment.
In-depth expertise in dry etching technology used for thin film processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technically and interpersonally.
The ability to integrate physical and chemical knowledge to understand complex plasma etching processes and their interaction with thin films.
Familiarity with key engineering tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
A pragmatic, creative, and flexible mindset with a results-oriented, can-do attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English at a professional level.
